Park Design Values

Our approach to the design of the parks themselves was based on the need to match two potentially divergent parameters, the Environment and the needs of the park in providing infrastructure for residents.

Techniques we will pursue in the design include:

Central parking - no cars within the site. This has a double benefit in that allows the maximum use of the site without the need to allow space for cars inside the site. It also reduces the costs of infrastructure, and its maintenance.

'Random effect' siting - the homes are sited with a view to the best outcome when combining the natural terrain with work required to site . Apart from the cost benefit, this also produces the best visual layout of the site and promotes the natural feel of the location.

'Natural feel' Infrastructure - as we do not need roads we can limit infrastructure to pathways only. These are constructed using local natural materials, stabilised to ensure low maintenance.
